Comic Michael Lehrer has died in Portland, Oregon, on the age of 44, after a greater than five-year battle with ALS.
Lehrer’s girlfriend Colette Montague informed Chicago Sun-Times That the ailing comic determined to finish his life with the assistance of a physician.
‘Michael died with dignity on his personal phrases,’ Montague informed the newspaper. ‘He was not suicidal in any respect. … Medical assist in dying was probably the most troublesome resolution he had ever made.’
