Selena Gomez is ready to say goodbye to Hollywood.
The singer/actress revealed that she wants to eventually get married and be a mom — and she’s ready to step away from acting to focus on her personal life.
The “Only Murder in the Building” star revealed this on Friday’s episode of the Tatatu Video podcast. “Giving the last generation.”
“I look forward to marriage and becoming a mother,” the 30-year-old told hosts Raquel Stevens and Ashley Cook, who are also her longtime friends.
“After all, I’m going to get tired of all this, so I’m probably going to dedicate most of my life to philanthropy before I can walk out in peace.”
The “Same Old Love” hitmaker further revealed how watching her 8-year-old half-sister Gracie Taffy grow up made her believe she wanted to be a parent.
“She keeps things in perspective,” Gomez said of her sister. “I basically have to watch this little person grow into a human being. There’s no better feeling in the world than this. I kind of feel like a parent, even though I’m not.”
“It’s so rewarding to see that life was once so easy,” she said. “I want to enjoy life the way she enjoys life.”
This isn’t the first time the “Ice Cream” singer has spoken out about plans to have a family.
During an appearance on The Hollywood Reporter’s podcast in JuneAward ChatterjeeGomez said her move from Texas to Hollywood put her kids on the back burner.
“I’ll have four kids, of course,” she said. “Maybe not planned, maybe planned, maybe both. And there’s nothing wrong with the life I lead.”
“I just know it’s not my way, and I’m really grateful that my mother gave me the chance to be who I want to be,” she said.
Although she is currently single, a romance may be on the horizon for Gomez, as she was seen flirting with Italian filmmaker Andrea Irvolino while sailing in Positano, Italy on Wednesday.
