Mitch McConnell Admitted to hospital on Wednesday night. After he fell at a hotel in Washington, D.C.
The Senate minority leader was having a private dinner at the Waldorf Astoria when he stumbled. According to his representative, David PopMcConnell fell … and apparently fell hard.
Popp said the 81-year-old Republican was “admitted to a hospital where he was being treated.”
McConnell’s condition has not been disclosed or specific about the fall. But he wasn’t admitted to the hospital to observe… He was admitted to some kind of treatment.
The Kentucky senator suffered a similar accident in 2019 when he fell to the grounds of his Louisville home and broke his shoulder.
McConnell is the nation’s longest-serving Republican leader in the Senate. He was first elected to the Senate in 1984 and served as Majority Leader from 2015 to 2021.
