He said in a heartfelt message to his fans this week, “As you guys know, I had to postpone the last few weeks of shows because I was totally unprepared to be back on the road.”
‘I started this tour excited to finally play live after a long break due to the pandemic, but the reality is I wasn’t quite prepared for how difficult the tour would be after this time.
‘After speaking more with my team and working with an incredible group of healthcare professionals, it’s become more apparent that I need to take the time to ground myself and get stronger.’
The Stitches hitmaker continued: ‘Unfortunately I had to cancel the rest of the tour dates in North America, and the UK/Europe.

‘We hoped that after some needed time I might be able to take the rest of the dates, but at this point I have to put my health as my first priority.’
Shawn assured his fans that he was still making music and shared that those who had tickets to the gigs felt disappointed.
He added: ‘That doesn’t mean I won’t be making new music, and I can’t wait to see you on tour in the future. I know you all have been waiting so long to see these shows, and it breaks my heart to tell you, but I promise that as soon as I find the right time to recover, I will will come back. I love you all and thank you all so much for supporting me and staying with me on this journey.’
