EXCLUSIVE: Sheridan Smith Resigns As Judge On ITV Talent Show Starstruck Just A Series ‘Due To Scheduling Conflicts’
Sheridan Smith has stepped down as a judge on the ITV talent show Starstruck after just one series due to ‘scheduling conflicts’.
The 41-year-old actress made up the judging panel of Saturday night’s show alongside Beverly Knight, Adam Lambert and Jason Manford.
But ITV has confirmed that Sheridan has left the show after its first season due to a “scheduling conflict” with a “new acting project”.

An ITV spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘We wanted Sheridan to return to the show, but she sadly had to decline due to scheduling conflicts with a new acting project.
The team loved working with her, she was a wonderful judge and provided some invaluable feedback to the contestants. We wish him all the best.
Starstruck sees people change their idols as they compete in teams – features that look and sound like the Stars in Their Eyes that aired on the channel from 1990 to 2006.

Conflicting schedules: An ITV spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘We wanted Sheridan to return to the show, but sadly had to decline due to scheduling conflicts with a new acting project.
The series, hosted by Ollie Murs, undergoes an ‘extraordinary transformation’ for the contestants to become their role models for the night.
Groups of three then compete for a place in the finals for a chance to win a £50,000 cash prize.
An ITV spokesperson said of the show ahead of the show’s launch: ‘Leaving their day jobs behind, members of the public will turn into their most beloved music star for one night only. But he will not be on stage alone.
