K-pop boyband Stray Kids has unveiled a new song and music video titled ‘Time Out’.
At midnight KST on August 1, the boyband stunned fans with a digital single and its summer new visuals to complete their ‘2022 STAYweeK’ fan event, releasing several behind-the-scenes clips. The annual event marks the anniversary of the fan base of Stray Kids, which was named Stay on August 1, 2018.
The ‘Time Out’ music video sees the eight-member group enjoying a summer break by the sea, singing along to the new track as they hang out at a nearby beach house.
,So come / walk, leave everything behind / Wherever it is, somewhere far from here / Run (run), run (run) / Somewhere fresh and wide open, oh ohStray kids sing to an upbeat new pop-rock track.
‘Time Out’ is the latest of the boyband’s surprise “mixtape” track after June 2021’s ‘Oh. Stray Kids’ last official release was their March 2022 mini-album ‘Odinary’, which was led by the single ‘Maniac’.
That album earned the group their first entry and first number one on the Billboard 200 when released together. In a four-star review for ‘The Odinary’, NMEK Tasia Assis wrote: “This mini-album is a reflection of their extraordinary passion, wit and growth. It’s a great move for a group that hopefully will never tire of questioning.”
The Stray Kids, who are currently on the North American leg of their “Maniac” world tour, are also set to perform at Los Angeles K-pop festival KCON later this month. They will be joined by the likes of ATEEZ, CRAVITY, ENHYPEN, Japanese pop group INI, ITZY, Kep1er and LIGHTSUM for a performance on the festival’s first day on August 20.
