Taylor Swift fans might think their favorite musician is set to play the next Super Bowl halftime show, but that’s just not true … TMZ has learned.
NFL Drops Hint Taylor Swift Could Be Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show Act
Social media was ablaze Friday after TS fans decided the NFL dropped a few Easter eggs that hinted at Taylor being the big performer. However, we spoke to sources with direct knowledge who told us that Taylor will NOT be performing at Super Bowl LVII in Arizona.
As for those Easter eggs, the NFL sent out a press release at midnight announcing that Apple Music will be taking Pepsi’s place as the show’s sponsor. If you’re not familiar, Taylor has been making a lot of late-night announcements lately, so fans believe there’s a connection.
What’s more, Taylor has had a deal with Coca-Cola for years, making a Pepsi halftime show impossible … so with Pepsi gone, fans think it makes sense for Taylor.
Of course, whoever gets the gig will have big shoes to fill… Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg and 50 cents made headlines as one of the best shows of all time during the big game in Los Angeles earlier this year.
