A man accused of shooting five of his neighbors “execution-style” in Texas has been arrested following a nationwide manhunt.
Senior law enforcement sources tell TMZ… francisco oropeza was taken into custody by law enforcement on Tuesday.
Remember… Oropeza is accused of shooting On Friday night in Cleveland, Texas, his neighbors complained about rounds being fired for target practice on their property.
Oropeza’s alleged stampede killed 5 people in the house next door… including an 8-year-old child. Police say he was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and used an AR-15-style rifle in the killings.
Police say Oropeza was shooting his rifle in his yard late Friday when neighbors walked up to the fence dividing their properties and told him to stop firing his gun because their child was about to sleep. was trying
Police say that Oropez became angry with his neighbors, saying “… I’ll do what I want to do in my front yard.” Police say that after this he went to the neighbor’s house and went inside and started firing.
Police said there were at least 10 people inside the home when Oropeza opened fire, and most were killed at super close range and above the neck.
Oropeza was allegedly captured on a Ring Doorbell camera entering the home… and found 3 children inside the home with no physical injuries. They were found covered in blood which must have been a traumatic experience. The women who were killed were using their bodies to save children.
A Texas judge issued an arrest warrant for Oropeza after the shootings, and he’s gone is running, Investigators thought he may have fled the country, and the FBI joined police in a search.
The firearm Oropeza allegedly used in the fatal rampage … has been recovered along with some of his clothing and his cell phone.
