Actor Tom Cruise jumped off a mountain for a movie stunt – and apologized to a pair of pedestrians for ruining their peace.
Top Gun: The 60-year-old Maverick star Tom flew to the top of High Crag by helicopter before paragliding again.
But before launching himself from the Cumbrian fall, he stopped by nearby Penrith to say sorry to Sarah and Jason Hegarth, who had reached the 2,440-foot peak on foot with their dog, Edward.
Tom, who is supposed to be filming Mission Impossible 7, shouted: “Sorry for disturbing your peaceful walk with all the noise – I like your dog.”
Let’s agent Sarah, 48, replied: “Are you sure you’re going to jump out of there?”
Smiling Tom nodded and started running to the side – shouting: “See you later, guys.”

Sarah said: “He was as cool as a cucumber.”
Jason, 46, a sales executive, said: “Before I met the most famous person I ever met, Richard Madley.
“I was standing next to him a wee in the mantle at the end.
“It tops out at a country mile.”
