He had to go through one of the toughest losses in his life. That was the departure of the father. On the track “6 String American Dream,” Hayes sings: “Yeah, I’m way up on that Nashville stairs/But the money doesn’t fix anything that really matters/People who hate me still say I can’t sing. yes/my marriage Still needing advice/My son doesn’t know how to fight/My daughter’s pants are too short and tight/If I really drink/I still can’t drink responsibly/I’m a 6-string American Dream/But I still wake up with Sad/I still need Jesus/And I still miss Dad.”
Another song, “If Father Time Had a Daughter,” is like a contemplative one and finds Hayes pleading with Father Time to have mercy on fathers watching their young daughters grow up, singing “Time will stand still a little.” anymore / if Father Time has a daughter.”
“I’ve been waiting a long time for these two songs to come out,” says Hayes. I thought about what I wanted to say – and this is what I want to say to the world right now. These songs destroyed me in different ways. And I hope everyone who listens will leave their true feelings.”

Hayes is set to kick off The Duck Buck Tour this April in Rosemont. Illinois
