Wes Anderson leans towards sci-fi in his upcoming summer movie. Asteroid City—it takes place in the desert and showcases the beauty of a space race with pastel colors, laser beams, and even potential invasions from above. The first trailer for the film was released on Monday. showing the hallmarks of Anderson From the meticulously romantic build to the quiet desire hidden beneath it.
Asteroid City Set in 1950 in a small desert town off the freeway, Jason Schwartzman and his kids find themselves stranded after their car explodes (Jake Ryan, who worked with Anderson on moon kingdom and Koh MaSchwartzman must call his father-in-law, played by Anderson’s newcomer Tom Hanks, for help. The sun-drenched trailer unfolds like a series of mid-century holiday posters, even as the city endures supernatural events that keep them quarantined.
Besides Hanks, Schwartzman and Ryan. Featured in the trailer are Scarlett Johansson, who plays the weary actress; Geoffrey Wright, who informed us that a meteor hit the city on September 23, 3007 BC. which is an event to commemorate “Asteroid Day” and Maya Hawke, who appears as a teacher.

However, Anderson’s mainstay, Bill Murray, was not on the list. He reportedly withdrew before the September 2021 filming began. after being infected with COVID-19 Carell stepped in to replace Murray.
