News broke this week that the upcoming fourth season of succession will be the last time This is heartbreaking for me as a fan of the show. Because not only do I enjoy watching it. But I still like to take them apart. teasing every detail of it on an emotional level If they give me 10 seasons, I will watch every season. Even knowing that history suggests they should flag quality after a period of time, I won’t care. I’ll stay with Roys until the bitter end.
at the same time I told more than one person this week that one of the best things about the Cocaine Bear movie is that it’s 95 minutes long. The long movie seems to be coming faster and faster: Jurassic world domination It’s almost two and a half hours long. Batman It’s almost three hours long. different movies like Avatar: Waterway and blonde still stretching to three hours Obviously, the Marvel movies are known repeat offenders. cocaine bearOn the other hand, there was a funny idea. And it knows, the bear uses cocaine! You made a couple of pieces by crumpling the blood. You’ll laugh a little from the shock that someone has been eaten. Then everyone went home.
It’s hard to know when the story ends. And I think most of us have guessed wrong before. I’m not optimistic about continuing. bad ending the world too Better Call SaulBut the show was awesome. little lie Might be better than stopping after just one season. All sorts of considerations determine whether the story will end beyond its needs: how much people still care. How much money is left hanging money How hard is it to keep the contract, the commitment of people to work together? and even new executives trying to put their unique stamp on whatever the origin of the story.
i think about The Good Place when i think about this problem i love those characters I love actors, I love comedy, I love the world they’re acting in. I will look at more without question. But I find it impossible to argue with the idea of when and how it ended the way it should. This is part of the larger need to allow creative people to do what you love and not expect it to be the way you want it every moment. The shape and size of the piece should be in the hands of the person who created it the most. And you can like the work or not. It can be longer than you want, or it can be shorter.
but with successionI tend to disagree with people who feel it’s stagnant. But I find it pretty obvious when you realize that sometimes things that are changing – things that “happen” in plot terms – are happening beneath the surface, just like Kendall’s surrender in season 2. That became more complicated than that. for me That story seems to have reached a breaking point for Ching. Moreover They also repeatedly hinted at Logan’s health. They finally had to escape the health crisis they hinted at. And I don’t see the show going on beyond that point.
succession and cocaine bear There’s the same cocaine and dissection (literally), but it also has this one thing in common: tell your story and get out. Know when to pull the curtains Know when was the last time a bear rampaged.
