Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel have been making headlines with their ongoing feud after Ben Affleck’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote his latest film Air during an interview Ben convinces Jimmy to have a video chat with Damon on a show about the film. But who knew video calls would take a big turn and their problems would ignite to some extent where their behavior would be tagged as disrespectful?
What happened to video chat?
As Ben calls Damon, Jimmy says, “This is a present for Ben and JLo. Not for you.” However, Damon said, “Hello everyone? I’m on the list! Zoom!” and shortly after the screen freezes due to network issues. “No, it looks like we’re having a problem with Wi-Fi,” Jimmy said, but as soon as the screen reappeared, Damon came. along with some filter effects before asking Jimmy about filters. Damon blurted out and said, “Wait… is something wrong? I’m sick and tired of dealing with your nonsense**! Is that really a question? Why don’t you take a little question and a little show? The video call is disconnected and Jimmy apologizes for Damon’s behavior and says, “He’s out of control!”
Why did the feud begin?
The long-running feud began when Jimmy started his talk show and started signing the message, “You’re welcome.” “Sorry Matt Damon, our time is up.” This one-liner became extremely popular with viewers and they would ask Jimmy to bring Damon as a guest whenever he did. Retired, however. In 2015, the feud took another step when Damon and Jimmy sat down with a therapist while the actor complained of the latter’s mistreatment of not allowing him to attend every night’s performance.
