Yam Yam, also known as Yamil Arrocho, is from Puerto Rico. He appeared on Survivor Season 44 as one of 18 contestants and was initially placed in the Tika tribe. Throughout the season, Arrocho played a key role as part of the Tika Three Alliance alongside Carolyn Vigar and Carson Garrett, strategically eliminating players from other tribes.
While Arocho’s tribe gained tribal immunity, he gained individual immunity once the merger took place. In the challenging “Last Gasp” endurance test, where players must stay submerged in a rising tide, Arocho demonstrates his resilience. She claimed victory with an impressive time of 1 hour 25 minutes, overtaking Lagares-Greenblatt.
The 44th season of Survivor was filmed in June 2022 on the beautiful Mamanuca Islands in Fiji. The season premiered on CBS on March 1, enthralling viewers with its intense gameplay and strategic moves.
