before the premiere The energetic duo opens up about showing their vulnerable side to audiences. Cole’s first match win and more
Was it difficult to decide to join the show?
Britt Baker: It was a lot of decisions along the way. I agree to make a documentary which is a reality show about being a dentist and a wrestler. Adam Cole then signs with AEW and it turns out he wants to be a part of it. Then he fell. Then Adam Cole suffered a serious head injury. They asked if he still wanted to do it. and i think probably not He shocked me and everyone when he said that he still really wanted to do this. This is a gradual process where everything falls into place.
Adam Cole: The process was frightening to get personal, especially at a low point in my career and life. The outpouring of support from so many fans who didn’t know what I was going through meant the world to me. I think the idea of capturing the ups and downs of the whole process where fans can follow and understand what’s going on. I’m glad we did it.
Adam’s official premiere falls on March 29, the same night you return to the ring. How do you both feel about this?
Britt: Adam’s first back was terrifying. I know he is one of the best wrestlers in the world. and know he will be alright But every time someone goes into the ring, there’s always a risk and hope that all goes well. My fingers and toes and everything will be crossed.
Adam: I’m so excited But I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. I’ve been doing this for 15 years and I’ve never been away from the ring in nine months. It’s been nine months since I got my first shot back. Most of the time I’m just excited and excited to be back in front of the fans. wrestled again for AEW with AEW: All AccessWhich is the most private I’ve ever had with the public. It’s been a pretty big week. Overall, I pumped a lot.
with reality TV Your relationship will be under the microscope. After being together for six years You will be asked common questions that couples often encounter, such as when are you getting married? Are you planning to have children?
Britt: We got that question from the first week we started dating. I have an idea when you know and forever is forever. You don’t need to be in such a hurry. Right now we are very busy with wrestling and everything else. We live in Florida. Our entire family is in Pennsylvania. It doesn’t make sense right now. Someday, yes, but we don’t have time. There are some weeks when I’m only at home for two days of the week and for the whole month. It doesn’t make sense now.
Adam: we are enjoying the journey Dating for six years is awesome. We have made great strides in our relationship and will continue to do so. When it comes to getting married and starting a family, someday, but until then. We still enjoy being friends.
What kind of impact do you think all access is there?
Britt: What I love about this show is how accessible it is to all. It has to do with wrestling and what led to the wrestling show. But it concerns us as wrestlers and people. it makes us human I hope it shows the brutality and pain of wrestling. There’s nothing fake about it. First of all, we talked about a career-ending head injury. and I got shot in the back It’s not a fake shot. I hope we add a little more respect to the pro wrestling business.
Adam: For wrestling fans who already respect what we do. I think they will respect the process even more. Being a wrestler, being a team member, having to appear on live shows every week. I think this will be interesting for both fans and non-fans.
Britt, you have no bones about your opinion of Thunder Rosa as AEW Women’s Champion with much internet chatter. How is it possible for you to let viewers know what happened during that time through the series?
Britt: you saw it on the show All I did was ask simple questions. If someone called himself a champion every week when you flew around for seminars, signings and movie blog content… Why don’t you get on a plane to go to AEW because that’s where you’re the champion. That’s the company and brand you represent. We have a lot of injured talents who come to work to hang when they can. Some injured talents don’t have the luxury of being able to fly, Adam Cole being one of them. He was not allowed to leave the house at one point. It was a big step for him to walk outside. There are people who would kill to sign a contract with AEW. That’s when I became passionate and crazy about AEW, as well as being original and part of the foundation. That’s where it comes into play.
Where would you say you two stand today?
Britt: I will continue to tell you.
Adam, what made Daniel Garcia was the first opponent. blast As for your return this week?
Adam: I want to wrestle Daniel Garcia a long time ago when i look at him He’s one of the brightest stars in AEW, there’s no doubt that one day he’ll be able to host AEW. I think he’s good. for me to come back I want to test myself with one of the best. I’m excited and excited and honest to God. It was the first comeback.
Is there a show you guys watched together?
Britt: we are big Ted Lasso population. We look at yellow shirt. This will shock some people. But for the first time we are looking at lost. we love stranger things, you. We are big nerds. On weekends, we sit at home watching TV. We don’t go out. I can’t say enough good things about it. chicken cobra and the last of us! There are too many good shows right now.
Adam: There’s nothing better than knowing you have nothing to do on Sunday and the whole season is out. Then, Britt and I said, “Okay, let’s just sit on this couch for a few hours and binge. It’s fun.”
Do you have one show that you like to watch but others put up with?
Britt: certain dancing with the stars To me, because he’ll be patient and he’ll be watching it while playing his mobile video game, I’ll be like, “Did you just see that? Isn’t that the best Argentine tango ever?” He’ll be like, “Okay, that’s enough.”
Adam: our first show Grey’s Anatomy. At first I wasn’t crazy about it. But I think we can watch together. From time to time I liked the show. It was a great show.
Britt: That was our first show. And we’re going to go a long way. We’re watching on FaceTime because he’s in Pittsburgh. I’m in Florida. We’ll play together and FaceTime each other. That’s our date.
