(Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for you Season 4, Episode 2.)
Love finally arrived and Joe, thank goodness she’s not alive. Love Quinn and Guinevere Beck return in you Season 4 Episode 2 streams on Netflix on Thursday, March 9, and suffice it to say they’re pissed.
Victoria Pedretti and Elizabeth Lell reprises her role as a ghost in Episode 9, directed by movie star Penn Badgley, but like the other main characters in Part 2, Love and Beck weren’t there. But they appear in one of Joe’s nightmares fueling Valium after suppressed memories of his time in London flood in.
Badgley told TV Insider that while Love and Beck’s return was a short-lived fantasy, it was “gratifying” to see them go crazy for Joe for killing them.

Joe’s wife and ex-lover is the main attraction of Dream Fever Episode 9, which also features appearances in all of his season 4 victims. When part 2’s key plot was revealed, Rhys Montrose (Ed Speleers) wasn’t Eat the Rich Killer as part 1 led audiences to believe. In fact it used to be Joe all along. His state of mind was so depressed that he not only forgot that he had killed all these people but also places the serial killer side of his brain in Rhys’s reproduction.
The real Rhys gets close to a friend of Kate’s (Charlotte Ritchie) in Oxford. He is running for mayor of London, but Joe/Jonathan has never actually met him. until the day he killed him Speleers’ villainous character is just Joe’s imagination, built as a coping mechanism in response to his serial murderous streak. The worst damage of this memory loss is that Joe completely forgets that he locked Marianne (Tati Gabriel) in his well-known cage. hidden in an abandoned basement near his favorite Indian restaurant. At first he brought food to Marianne regularly. But his insanity made him forget that she was there. almost starved her to death
The fake Rhys jogs Joe’s memory. Love and Beck appear in nightmarish dreams as he remembers all the truth. Lail returned in a similar season 2, but his appearance in episode 9 marks Pedretti’s first return. Since her character was killed in you Season 3 finale
“Joe always has some twists and turns on his journey. And I was very happy to direct that episode,” Badgley told TV Insider. “It was a lot of fun for me. These have always been one of my favorite scenes and having[Pedretti and Lyle]was really nice.”
Pedretti’s character is Joe’s perfect match as both are serial killers. But Joe’s compulsive determination to justify his murder leads him to see Love’s murder as morally humiliating. while she was eventually killed. She was never one of the women locked up in Joe’s cage. (They put people in cages together.) But that changed in season 4.
“Having love in a cage And just having Beck back and showing a different side of herself” was a season highlight for Badgley, as “she was a little bit more nasty than she was supposed to be” last season. come
