Take off your snowshoes: Finally, the full trailer of “Yellowjackets” Season 2 is here! And the titular football team has new problems to face. On January 13, Showtime released the first trailer for the season. The team had to deal with the harsh reality of the 1996 winter, which meant tons of snow. and in the present Adults are still trying to understand what happened there and how it affects their lives today.
Then, on March 9, the network released a second season trailer set to Florence and the Machine’s new single “Just a Girl”, a cover of the 1995 song of the same name. The new No Doubt promo teases the darkness the team has to endure in the wilderness. “I think we left it there when we were rescued,” says a frightened adult Lottie (Simone Kessell) in the clip. “But now I know we brought it back too.”
Season One “Yellowjackets” ends with the shocking revelation of a younger Lottie (Courtney Eaton) as the Antler Queen and the tragic death of Jackie (Ella Purnell), which leaves us with a ton of questions for future episodes. go
for the second season expanding the cast by adding lauren Ambrose is the adult Van, and Obi-Wan Kenobi star Kessel is the older version of Lottie. Liv Hewson, who plays the ’90s Van, was also promoted to a series regular. Meanwhile, Elijah Wood has joined as the citizen detective who will fight Misty (Christina Ricci), and don’t worry the show will be gone anytime soon: Showtime has renewed it for a third season.
Previously, series hosts Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson spoke to Variety in May 2022 about their plans for a second season. “We’re revisiting the winter storyline,” says Lyle. “We call season 2 ‘The Winter of Discontent'”, a reference to Shakespeare’s “Richard III.”
That same month, Ricci told Jimmy Fallon that she had read fan theories online, which she called “interesting.” She mentioned one theory that Misty was a serial killer. “She intended to kill someone. And she has a bunker ready for her kidnapping victims. That bunker was ready to go,” Ricci said. “I would say she probably did it before. But I don’t know.” Ricci also spoke about the theory that Jackie didn’t die in the forest. “I don’t see how it’s possible to tell you the truth,” she said. “She froze to death. We saw it.”
