yellow jacket The season 2 finale begins with Natalie back at the cabin. Travis is overjoyed to see her alive, but doesn’t have it to tell what happened to Javi. Shauna, Van and Misty soon arrive with Javi’s body. “Chosen by the woods,” Natalie told him. Travis cries over Javi’s body.
When the group arrives back at the cabin, Misty tells Lottie that they are going to eat Javi. She tells what happened after taking out the card. Lottie is horrified. “I didn’t want it,” says Lottie. Misty snaps, “You started it. It’s done. And it’s going to save all of our lives. Lottie can’t start making people feel bad about it anymore.”
Misty comes downstairs and tells the group that Lottie is happy. Shauna grabs the knife and goes outside where Travis is still crying over Javi’s frozen corpse. Shauna, Tai and Van prepare Javi’s body. Shauna starts trembling. Javi was the most innocent of all. He didn’t deserve it. Shauna covered her eyes and started cutting.
Coach Ben returns and sees a bloody scene. He soon learns that it is Javi and meets Natalie. Coach Ben explains that he has found Javi’s secret hiding place and wants Natalie to come with him. “You’re not like the other girls,” he says. Natalie responds, “Actually, I’m worse. I let him die in my place. It should have been me.” Natalie tells Coach Ben that he’s a good man. “You don’t really belong in this place.” are,” she says.
Meanwhile, Van tries to talk to Travis. “Let your brother save you, Travis,” Van says. “Don’t you owe him the least?” Shauna soon arrives at the cabin carrying Javi’s remains. His heart is on a slab. She calls Travis and hands him Javi’s heart. He takes a piece of Javi’s heart in front of everyone and puts it on a pan to fry. The others soon leave with the rest of Javi.
Misty goes upstairs to eat Lottie. Lottie is still traumatized by what happened. Misty has no time for this. “Your team needs you. Eat,” she commands.
Lottie comes downstairs and announces that ‘this’ has chosen who is going to get them out of the winter and live: Natalie. Natalie was absolutely stunned. “We tried to kill you, and ‘it’ won’t let us,” Lottie says before bowing to Natalie. Coach Ben is watching in horror from outside. The rest of the survivors follow Lottie’s lead and pledge allegiance to their new queen. Travis does the same, except he places Natalie’s hand over his heart.
a new hunt for a new day
In the present day, Lottie is still convinced that they need to give the jungle what it wants. She presumably reaches for one of the poisoned cups, but Shauna stops her. Shauna tells Lottie that they should “hunt it down.” She’s just appeasing Lottie to give the rest of the group some time off. Tai and Misty play together.
Natalie doesn’t understand why Shauna is making fun of Lottie in the slightest. The others discuss Lottie’s commitment, but Natalie doesn’t think it’s that simple. Van agrees. The crux of the problem is that Lottie hasn’t paid attention to what happened in the woods, and we all know “that’s where it goes” when Lottie is in that mindset.
The group plans a “hunt”. Walter tags along to help Misty. Jeff and Callie arrive at the wellness center, but Lottie’s followers shut everything down. Kevin and Sam drive up as well. Things are about to get complicated. Jeff and Callie overhear Walter and Kevin talking. Jeff tells Callie to find Shauna. He goes to Kevin and confesses that he killed Adam. He is also very convincing. Suddenly, Kevin passes out right in front of Jeff’s eyes. Walter poisoned him!
Natalie approaches Lisa and urges her to still leave. Natalie begs Lisa to leave. Natalie thanks Lisa for trying to teach her forgiveness. “It’s a great idea,” says Natalie.
Callie and Sam meet on the property of the wellness center. Thankfully he has a gun for protection. The conversation is interrupted by a fake call from Kevin, courtesy of Walter.
Lottery goes through a deck of cards. After Shauna shuffles, Van says she’ll do the drawings first. Tit moves on, begrudgingly. the rest follow. Neither of them draws the queen in the first round. Lottie says they have to go again. They continue drawing until Shauna finally pulls out a queen. Mood swings. The others put on masks and Lottie tells Shauna, “You can submit, or you can run.” Shauna wants them all to quit the act. “You know there’s no ‘it’, right? It was just us,” Shauna says. Lottie replies, “Is there a difference?”
Sam finds Kevin in the trunk of the car. Walter shows up and shoots Kevin in the trunk. He explains that Sam has a choice. Walter has framed Kevin for everything, but he could easily turn everything around to point at Sam.
A shocking sacrifice ends in tragedy
Lottie, Tit, Van, Misty and Natalie run through the woods after Shauna. Callie shoots Lottie, defending her mother. Lottie has never met Callie before, and she is in awe of Shauna’s daughter. “It’s here. It’s with us now,” announced Lottie. Shauna demands to know where the psychic team is. Van and Taissa call in the psych team because they are the reason Lottie is like this.
The situation becomes even more chaotic when Lisa shows up with a gun. Natalie tries to calm him down. Misty has a needle filled with poison ready to strike. She runs at Lisa, but Natalie appears in front of her, so Misty stabs Natalie. It is the atonement she yearns for all these years when Javi dies in her place.
Misty panics as Natalie dies right in front of her eyes. Natalie finds herself on a plane. But this time, she isn’t going into the woods. She’s going somewhere else entirely. Natalie sees Javi, a younger version of herself, and young Lottie on the plane. “It’s not bad. Just hungry. Like us. Just let it in,” says Lottie. Natalie takes her last breaths in Misty’s arms. Her death is thought to be a drug overdose. Natalie dies of Javi. is parallel to death as both happened unintentionally but will change Everything.
After the police arrive, Walter tells Misty that Adam Martin’s situation has been resolved. “Walter, I killed my best friend,” Misty cries. Van and Taissa tell Lottie that she is going away for a while. “We gave ‘it’ what it wanted. ‘It’ is pleased with us. You’ll see,” she says.

The closing moments of the season 2 finale take us back to the jungle. Shauna is writing in her journal when she smells smoke. She runs downstairs and shouts to wake up everyone. The cabin is on fire and the door won’t open. Taisa manages to break down the door with an axe.
Everyone can make it out before the cabin completely burns down. While we don’t see who started the fire, the prime suspect is Coach Ben. However, his decision may drive the survivors further into insanity.
