Joe Goldberg was able to find a way to avoid the consequences. again. Netflix dropped the second part of you Season 4 on March 9, giving fans the final 5 episodes of the season. The second half of season 4 flips everything you thought about part 1 and ends with Joe returning to New York City.

You explained the Season 4 finale.
The season 4 finale begins with Joe believing Marianne to be dead after he locks her in a cage when his mind splits in two. He left her body in a park for passers-by to find. When Nadia takes Ethan to show him Joe’s hideout, The cage was gone.
Joe contemplates ending his life until Kate asks him for help. Kate believes that her father is responsible for Rhys’ death. real montrose Kate cries because her father has so much control over her life. Joe recalls Rhys’ thoughts (the thing in his head) that Tom Lockwood needs to die.
Killing Tom is easy for Joe. He confronts Tom at his factory. Kill Tom’s bodyguards. and then with Tom He then framed the bodyguards for Tom’s murder.
After taking care of Tom Joe remembers Love’s words and believes he can only keep Kate safe by suicide. Rhys tries to convince Joe that death is not the answer. Joe believes he will end up killing Kate like he did with Guinevere and Love. Joe throws Rhys over a bridge, believing he can cut out the dark part of his consciousness. Joe jumps off a bridge but survives the fall.
meanwhile Nadia and Ethan are gathering all the evidence they need to track down Joe. Nadia finally reveals to Ethan the truth of what happened to Marianne. Nadia and Marianne come together to try and kill Joe. They’re going to knock him out with ketamine. Then Marianne would kill him.
They also have a plan B in case their original plan goes wrong. Marienne has a beta blogger that she will use. This slows her heart rate and makes it look like she’s dead. When Nadia was arrested Marianne had to continue with plan two. Nadia is able to follow Joe as he dumps Marienne’s body and injects him with adrenaline that will awaken Marienne.
Joe wakes up at the hospital after he jumps. He admitted to Kate that he deliberately jumped. He also revealed that he killed people. But he did not specify who. Kate tells Joe that Tom is dead. and he abandoned her everything She pointed out that DNA was found in Rhys’ body, but testing was inconclusive. She knows it’s Joe’s DNA. Kate lets Joe swear to them. “Keeping each other’s good”, they will move forward together as a team. It’s an unbreakable unit.
Marienne Escapes & Rhys Returns
After spying on Joe’s apartment. She found all the evidence she needed to deal with Joe. while she was out Joe confronts her. He said that now he has “A lot of resources” in hand. He’s already killed Eddie. and he accused Nadia of having killed him. The story Joe created is that Nadia kills Eddie after she finds out he killed Rhys. Although Nadia goes to jail for Eddie’s death, But she didn’t tell Jo that Marianne was still alive.
Joe still doesn’t know that Marienne is still alive. Marienne ends up happy and reunites with her daughter. when she stumbled upon a story about Joe and Kate’s “Second Chance”. She has a disgusted expression on her face.
Joe and Kate move to New York to start a new life with little Henry. They have unlimited means and the ability to cover up any problems that stand in their way. When Joe looks out the window at Central Park, he sees Rhys again in the reflection. try as you can The darkness in Joe didn’t disappear when he jumped. It was still hidden under his skin. As he has been proven time and time again. Joe always goes back to his old ways. Kate better watch out.
Joe’s return to New York City was full circle for this character. Returning to the Big Apple, Joe cut his hair and shaved his beard. He looked like he was looking back in Season 1 when his story first began. Now he’s back where he started. Can his story end with season 5? Time will tell!
